Dublin Writers Festival, 1st to 6th June
International writers Antony Beevor, Hanif Kurieshi, Yann Martel and multi-award winning Ian McEwan will join Irish writers Jennifer Johnston, Joseph O'Connor and Tom Murphy and dozens more at this year's Dublin Writers Festival. The six day literary Festival, now in its 12th year, features over 40 writers who will read from their most recent works and take part in curated conversations about their writing.

Docklands Maritime Festival, 4th June to 7th June, Dublin Docklands
The river will be a buzz of activity as the tall ship, the Jeanie Johnston, will welcome visiting tall ships, Artemis, Bessie Ellen, Notre Dame de Rumengol and the Irish naval vessel L.E Aoife, giving visitors the chance to experience first hand what life on the ocean waves is like.

Alongside the stunning tall ships, there will be plenty of entertainment for all the family including a breathtaking array of street theatre, musical entertainment and amusements creating a fun carnival atmosphere.

Dublin Shakespeare Festival, 7th June to 13th June
The Trinity College Dublin Shakespeare Festival 2010 is one of the most unique events in the Irish calendar, as for one week Dublin's idyllic parks, beautiful cultural monuments and schools become the venues for performances of the works of William Shakespeare.

Following on from the massive success of the inaugural festival last year, this year the festival will see over 45 free performances around the city hourly from 12pm - 5pm every day along with nightly events at 6.30pm including lectures, comedic performances and live music, all inspired by the work of the bard.

Bloomsday in Dublin, 16th June
