Friday the 10th of July 2009
According to the CSO public sector education average hourly pay at €33.23 is the highest in Ireland. Hotel and restaurant workers average hourly pay was the lowest at €12.93.
Public sectors workers in Ireland are paid 48% more than those in the private sector and work on average 2.3 hours less per week.
72% of all tax in Ireland goes to Exchequer Pay & Pensions including Social Welfare.
It is clear that Irish citizens cannot afford such daily expenditure for dependents of the State and that public sector salaries especially at the top rates must be cut.
