The problem in Ireland is not insufficient taxes but a State Sector unable to control their own pay and spending. Any increase in taxes will take funds out of the economy and reduce competitiveness, economic growth and employment growth. Ireland is a very small country and the cost of the state sector must reflect that in order for Ireland to remain competitive and create jobs.
