Have Your Voice Heard - Why Join?

The Dublin Region now has a population of almost 2 million people. Every year over 250 million visits to Dublin City Centre are recorded. It is increasingly difficult for local government to obtain a clear view of the needs of the business community - needs that are essential to sustain a vibrant, growing economy. Decisions in the modern economy are more complex and change takes place at an ever-increasing pace. Local area based management is an essential tool in sustaining progress. For business to be successful, they must be pro-active and know what they are for and what their vision is. Knowing what one is against is of little value. DCBA works with local government to ensure that the voice of business heard. The Area Management Divisions of Dublin City Council are an essential element in delivering better local services. DCBA works very closely, often on a daily basis, with these Executive Managers so that there is good interaction between business and government and that positive results are produced.

Many functions in city governance are overlapping - hence it is necessary to listen, lobby, inform and promote to a wide range of institutions, including
