What can DCBA do for you?

  • Through the area/street committeesyou can communicate and work with other businesses on local and regional issues.
    • Local issues include traffic management, market trading, public order, law enforcement, refuse collection, stock delivery, shop frontages, litter, CCTV and governance.
    • Regional issues include improved access to the City Centre, safety and security issues, marketing city streets to develop Dublin City as an attractive brand and shopping destination.

 

  • Provide you with a business information service.
    • DCBA is a significant information source on relevant business issues such as consumer research, integrated area action plans, land use and transportation legislation, street cleaning, traffic management, footfall counts and long term strategic policy.
    • All members are invited to attend the quarterly DCBA Council meetings.
    • All members have priority access to the commercial portal for Dublin – www.thisismydublin.com.
    • All members have access to DCBA information archives logging on to DCBA website – policy papers, issues, events.
    • All members can call for an update or discussion on the phone or over a cup of coffee. DCBA operates an open door policy for members.

 

  • Influencing local authorities, government agencies and public bodies to ensure that members’ interests and concerns are always to the fore.
    • Represent your views to the Strategic Policy Committees of Dublin City Council; government departments and state agencies.
    • You can express your views and concerns at Committee Meetings, at DCBA Council Meetings, or by e-mail, fax or phone to the Dawson Street Office (info@dcba.ie).
